Faisalabad: The Khurrianwala police have arrested 24 people on the charge of attacking a police station, injuring policemen and getting some accused freed. The police had registered a case against MPA Rana Shoaib Idress and 59 others under sections 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 225, 186,353,149 ,148, and 440 of Pakistan Penal Code.
The CPO had formed a committee to probe the matter. In the light of a report of the fact- finding committee, a case was registered and the police have so far arrested 24 accused. However, raids are being conducted to arrest the MPA and other accused who are still at large.
