Mobile Testing Units established in City

LAHORE–City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) is all set to establish a Mobile Testing Units at Askari-10, Punjab Group of Colleges and PAF Mess in order to issue permanent driving licenses and learner permits to the candidates in due course of time. The CTPL spokesman Ali Nawaz said that the traffic police will establish a camp on Wednesday (today) and Thursday (tomorrow) at Askari-10 where the officers will issue permanent licenses to the candidates and residents, already holding leaner permits. Similarly, the special mobile van will establish such camp on June 15 at the main office of the Punjab Group of Colleges and on June 16 at Pakistan Air Force Mess at Sarfaraz Rafiqi Road.

The CTO Lahore Dr Usman Anwar has taken exemplary initiative by launching door-to-door campaign to provide driving licenses to most people in the city. He said these camps are being established in front of government offices, private institutions, leading housing societies, and other public places.

Bank-camp office established: In order to provide timely salaries to employees of Mujahid Squad, a camp office by a local bank has been established at Qurban Lines on Tuesday. The spokesman said the bank accounts would be opened at the camp office through one-window operation. He said the officers associated to the squad had to wait for hours in lines in the past but now due to this camp they would be entertained in time.
