Japanese police official meets city police seniors

LAHORE: The First Secretary of the National Police Officers Academy of Japan, Satoshi Atabashi, on Wednesday called on senior police officials at the Capital City Police Headquarters.

SSP (Discipline and Inspection) Sahriq Kamal, SSP (Admin) Tariq Abbas Qureshi and Director Public Relations (DPR) Rai Nazar Hayat were also present.

During the meeting, SSP Kamal said that Pakistan and Japan could benefit a lot from each other’s experiences and challenges in the field of policing. He pointed out that the Lahore police had been utilising modern technology to combat heinous crimes and terrorism in the city. He noted that the Japan Police had always been at the forefront of providing Pakistan know-how with regards to handling of drugs and latest methods of law enforcement.

He also informed the first secretary about the history and performance of the city police. Speaking on the occasion, Satoshi Itabashi assured the officials of Japan Police’s full cooperation and thanked them for their warm hospitality. staff report
