Dolphin Force in five more cities: IG

Summaries of replication of Dolphin Force in five other big cities of Punjab and establishment of two new police training schools have been sent to Punjab government for approval.

This was said in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera at Central Police Office, Lahore, on Tuesday.

According to a handout, the cities in which Dolphin Force will be replicated are Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan and Bahawalpur. To enhance the training capacity of the police, establishment of two new training schools have also being proposed in Bahawalpur and Township, Lahore.

Later, Sindh Police DIG Sultan Ali Khwaja met the IG, Punjab, in his office. The IG told the Sindh DIG that under the instructions of Punjab government, the request of the Sindh government for help in establishing three systems of Punjab police, computerised Human Resource Management System, Record Management System and 8787 service, would be honoured and all kind of assistance would be provided to Sindh Police in this regard.

The Sindh DIG thanked the IG for his cooperation and said that the Sindh Police would also introduce the same IT-based initiatives taken by the Punjab Police. He said that the Sindh Police Department was impressed by the success of Punjab Police’s IT initiatives.
