‘Police to get risk allowance with arrears’

Sep 09, 2017

BAHAWALPUR: Inspector General of Police retired Capt Arif Nawaz says the risk allowance (with effect from July, 2017) will be paid to the police along with arrears with the salary of October.

He was addressing a police darbar at Police Lines here on Friday, according to a handout.

The IGP said the use of information technology was a must to curb crime and hence all the police stations in the province had been equipped with IT gadgets.

He said daily allowances for police personnel had also been increased and the welfare of the bereaved families of 1,400 police martyrs were being looked after properly. However, the IGP lamented that the police image in the views of the common man had not improved and there was a need to bring about a change in the behaviour of police.
