Special Police Arrest 11 ‘criminals’

LAHORE: City Investigation SP Karrar Hussain Shah on Tuesday said that special police teams of the Investigation Wing arrested 11 persons involved in murder, honour killing, bank dacoity and other crimes and recovered stolen items worth millions of rupees from them.

Addressing a press conference at Lower Mall here, he said that in-charge of homicide in Islampura Station, Muhammad Tariq, arrested the killers of Lal Khan.  Wife of the deceased had allegedly hired three persons namely Ijaz, Shahid and Mazaffar for Rs 400,000 for killing her husband.

The SP said that SI Akhtar Ali arrested accused Ashab, who had killed one Ali Ahmad for having illicit relations with his sister.

Whereas SI Muhammad Ali arrested accused Muhammad Akram involved in killing of Tahir Hussain.

The Investigation Police City Division arrested three accused namely Younas, Asif and Adil, who were involved in extortion, and bank dacoity. The police also recovered one million rupees and a pistol from them.

He said that the gangsters had also been sent to jails in different cases.
