Dacoits opened fire on police at picket in Pakpattan today. One police volunteer (PQR) got wounded in exchange of firing whereas one dacoit has been killed and other arrested in injured situation.
According to the details two dacoits looted in area of Police station Dalwaryam and were fleeing from the scene and police tried to intercept them near pul jalib on a police picket.
Instead of stopping over the picket the dacoits opened fire on the police due to which one police volunteer and one passerby got injured. The police bravely retaliated the dacoits and one dacoit killed on the spot in exchange of firing and the other was arrested. Police have recovered cash money and weapons from the dacoits. Injured have been admitted to hospital whereas legal proceedings are going on. DPO Pakpattan awarded cash prize and commendation certificate to Constable Asghar Ali for his bravery and dutifulness.
