Special Advisor to Prime Minister Zulfiqar Bukhari visited Central Police Office.

IGP Punjab Captain Retired Arif Nawaz Khan briefed Zulfiqar Bukhari about new projects of Public service delivery.

Service delivery and IT projects of Punjab police to solve the public problems are admirable, Zulfiqar Bukhari.

Special advisor to Prime Minister Imran Khan Mr. Zulfiqar Bukhari visited Central Police Office Lahore and examined the new projects initiated by Punjab police regarding public service delivery and appreciated these projects equipped with the modern policing and contemporary needs. Zulfiqar Bukhari praised the decreasing trend of terrorism activities in the province and said that it is the top priority of government to make the Punjab Police professionally stronger & more public friendly and for this purpose measures are taken at federal and provincial level. IGP captain Retired Arif Nawaz Khan briefed the special advisor about operational strategy of Punjab Police and newly initiated projects of public service delivery by using the Information technology effectively. He said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran khan, it is the top priority of Punjab police to solve the problems of citizens. He further said that for this purpose special projects of public service delivery including Police Khidmat Marakiz, 8787 IGP Complaint Management System, khidmat counters at hospitals, mobile khidmat marakaz and Safe City project. IGP told Zulfiqar Bukhari that Punjab police have established specialized forces like Dolphin, PERU, CTD, Special Protection Unit, Anti Riot Unit, Special Operation unit regarding modern policing and Punjab police is also using information technology in effective way to provide best service delivery to the principles of smart and community policing.

Zulfiqar Bukhari visited IGP complaint cell 8787 at Central police office where AIG complaints Zahid Nawaz briefed him about working and performance of complaint cell. During the briefing, AIG Complaints said that 8787 complaint system has resolved thousand of public complaints regarding different issues. He added that this system is also redressing the complaints received from the Prime Minister citizen’s portal on priority basis. On this occasion Zulfiqar Bukhari also viewed the process on receiving of complaints from citizen via telephone call and its process. During his visit to monitoring room, DIG IT Zulfiqar Hameed briefed Zulfiqar Bukhari about Inter Province border surveillance system, Criminal Record Management System (CRO), Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), Front Desk, Monitoring system of SHO room and Lock ups. DIG IT told Zulfiqar Bukhari that with the help of modern policing and digital mapping high crime areas are pointed out and after that arrangements are made to arrest the criminal elements with the help of proper enforcement of patrolling forces. DIG IT also told the special assistant about integrated Hotel Eye system and Anti vehicle car lifting system (AVLS). IGP Punjab also presented police souvenir to Zulfiqar Bukhari at the end of his visit of CPO.

Moreover, Zulfiqar Bukhari along with IGP Punjab visited Safe city headquarters, Qurban Lines Lahore, where MD safe city authority Additional IGP Ali Aamir Malik and Chief operating officer DIG Akbar Nasir Khan briefed Mr. Bukhari about the working of safe city project. They told that with the help of this modern project of latest technology, a sharp decrease has been witnessed in street crimes in Lahore and major traffic problems have also been resolved due to effective traffic management. They added that police surveillance projects on the pattern of safe city Lahore in other major cities are under way.He said  without utilizing the modern technology the dream of better performance of Police cannot be achieved.
